This bolt on heatsink can be fitted onto the side of the Carisma aluminium motor mount CA15051 (modifications required) You will need to be able to drill a 2.5mm hole in the Carisma aluminium motor mount CA15051 and tap a M3 thread into the hole.
The Thumbs Designs motor mount heat sink helps to dissipate some of the heat from the motor.
The heatsink is designed and located in such a way to allow a 25mm fan to be screwed on to the fins for added cooling.
If you are able to do the aforementioned modification to the motor mount yourself it is easy to line up where the hole needs to be, simply place the heatsink into position on the motor mount and poke a felt tip pen through the screw hole in the heatsink to mark the position for your M3 hole in the motor mount. Then you can remove the motor mount from the car and drill and tap the motor mount, reassemble the car and screw your new heatsink onto your motor mount with the stainless steal M3 button head screw provided.
If you feel you are unable to carry out this modification we can drill and tap your motor mount in our workshop for a small charge of £5 plus postage.
Or you could purchase the complete GTB Motor Mount with Heatsink which is ready to bolt straight into your GTB and comes finished in Thumbs Designs Orange to match the heatsink. HERE
We use the fan and screws that came on our Hobbywing speed controller.
